Geomagnetic conditions were stable most of the time, but there was one period around 1200z on February 2 when the K index went as high as four. Activity should stay low, but increase again later this month. WA4TTK has a new versions of his popular free solar activity graphing program, including one for Windows. Watch this bulletin next week for more details. Sunspot Numbers from January 27 through February 2 were 63, 60, 89, 81, 81, 55 and 52, with a mean of 68.7. 10.7 cm flux was 120.5, 119, 102, 99, 97.6, 94 and 96.3, with a mean of 104.1. The projection for this week is from the center of the continental United States to Peter 1 Island. 80 meters should be good from 0400z to 1000z, with the best times from 0530z to 0730z. 40 meters should be good from 0300z to 0930z, and 30 meters from 0130z to 1130z. 20 meters should be open from 2330z to 0200z, and possibly until 0530z. 17 meters may be open around 1430z to 1630z, and has a better chance from 2330z to 0130z. On some days 15 meters may be open from 1900z to 0000z. 10 and 12 meters do not look good over this path. /EX
