VK2SG RTTY DX Notes for week ending 31 December 1993 (BID RTDX1231)

Mother Nature obliged with some nice propagation this last week of
1993.  With the solar flux reaching 143, and K and A indicies
sometimes at zero, we experienced unexpected favorable band
conditions.

Our information this week came from 9X5LJ, I5FLN, DJ3IW and the
Central Europe Cluster DP0SPC, UB5LBX, WA1MPB, WB2CJL, ZS5S, and the
NJ0M Node of the Twin Cities DX Packet Cluster Network.  Thanks to all
for your help, both for this week, and for the past year.

Notes of Interest

XF4CI will be QRV until 3 or 4 January.

Akio, JA3JM will be at South Cook as ZK1AJM until 2 January.  He will
then move to Western Samoa as 5W1AS until 5 January.  QSL to JA3JM.

Don, AA5AU, will be back at Treasure Cay in the Bahamas, and will be
QRV as C6A/AA5AU on New Year's Day on RTTY.  He will be an entry in
the ARRL RTTY ROUNDUP the following weekend (8-9 January).

Starting 1 January 1994, Ukrainian amateurs will change their prefixes
from UB5 to UR5.

Bruce, V31JU is new to RTTY, and is looking to complete his RTTY WAS.
