This is a little routine I wrote to automate renaming of your ATBBS.QWK packets. It renames it using the current month and day followed by a letter to distinguish between multiple packets downloaded the same day. For example, today is March 15th. I download my first packet and run QNAME to rename it, the result is: ATBBS.QWK renamed to AT0315A.QWK I read all the messages and create my replies and upload the packet. But it's only 11:00, I can probably download another packet before I have to go on to do other things. So I post my replies and download a new packet. I run QNAME again and: ATBBS.QWK renamed to AT0315B.QWK It will go all the way up to the letter Z. But if you are downloading 26 packets a day, maybe you're spending a _little_ too much time on our bulletin board. In other words, "Get a life!!". Just kidding! It looks in the current directory for the file ATBBS.QWK and puts the Hope you find this helpful. Let me know if you think of any improvements or suggested changes. For those who dabble with C, I've included the source code. This program is for use by the public domain. It may not be sold at all. Feel free to distribute to anyone who can benefit from it. -=*> Martin Leon AKA HMan (A-T) <*=-
