About PBASMLIB's Author

Hello - I'm Tim Gerchmez, author of PBASMLIB.  I'm 29 yrs old, and I 
live and work out of my home in Renton WA, a medium size town 15-20 miles
southeast of Seattle and about 20 miles south of Redmond, WA (home of
Microsoft Corp).  I've been programming extensively in BASIC (several 
dialects) and assembly language (6502 and 80x86) since 1984.  I published
5 or 6 articles/programs for the Commodore 64 computer in national computer
magazines in the mid 80's, and migrated to the PC a few years ago.  All of
my programming knowledge is self taught - I have no computer related
degrees.  My current shareware offerings include Menusys, a text-mode GUI
for PowerBASIC and QuickBASIC 4.5, the PB version of which was included on
the PB3C install disk, as well as several other BASIC language utilities.

PBASMLIB V1.0 was developed on a Packard-Bell 386SX-20 and completed and
tested on a 486 DX2-66 clone.  It's most ambitious project to date, and one 
that I hope will help fulfill my goals, among which are:

* To bring true programming power to BASIC programmers everywhere, at a
  level previously enjoyed only by users of "more powerful" languages like
  Pascal and C ;

* To offer a high quality toolbox to the programming population at an
  affordable price ;

* To help extend the viability of the DOS standard by tapping previously
  untapped potentials of the operating system, and ;

* To know that others are using and enjoying my programs, and that I've
  made a meaningful contribution to the programming community.

I think that PBASMLIB helps fulfill many of these goals, and I hope you
