This file contains known bugs and possible future plans. This file is a little terse because it is mainly an internal document for corrdinating or debuggin. When reporting a bug, send information necessary to repeat the bug, hardware used, drivers used, and systems connecting to. Bug reports should be sent to pctelnet@ncsa.uiuc.edu Known bugs in NCSA Telnet 2.3.07 DOS 6 Vsafe will not run with Telnet. Possible bug in TCP window sizes. Telnet ECHO behavior incorrect with linemode on. Outputmap=yes is linked to binary option. VT100 emulation imperfect. Disk errors are handled badly. Tek emulation imperfect. Wide screen modes don't work right. Monocrome VGA graphics don't work. Tek GIN mode not fixed yet. DECNET and AppleTalk support busted. SCO systems not always cooperative. Plans for future NCSA Telnet versions. (Wish List) Rewrite documentation. Include smaller more specific executables. Vastly improve keyboard remappings. Add 8bit support. Allow alternative screen modes and window sizes. Implement scripting. Clean up Telnet negotiations. Multiple FTP connections. More FTP control, FTP logging. More VTxxx emulations. Rewrite for sockets. Add Ping and more utilities. FTP out from Telbin. Do Kerberos. NCSA Telnet is Public Domain software. Full source is available, and code donations are welcome.
