Shows how many people have been killed by firearms since 
January 1, 1994, and how many times guns have been used 
in self defense since January 1, 1994. Sources for
the numbers given are displayed On-Screen. Arbor Verde Press
takes no position on the accuracy of either set of figures. Please
do not write or call to complain about them.

Two versions are included in the DCLWIN.ZIP archive:

DCWIN2.EXE is designed to run on any computer running Windows. Requires
the file VBRUN200.DLL, available for download on most bulletin
boards and in various Compuserve Libraries.

DCWIN3.EXE is designed to run on any computer running Windows. Requires
the file VBRUN300.DLL, available for download on most bulletin
boards and in various Compuserve Libraries.

The vbrun files are usually found under the names VBRUN2.ZIP and
VBRUN3.ZIP.

To run the windows version, first make sure that either VBRUN200.DLL 
_OR_ VBRUN300.DLL has been copied to your \WINDOWS or \WINDOWS\SYSTEM 
directory. Unzip DCWIN2.EXE (if you are using VBRUN200.DLL) or
DCWIN3.EXE (if you are using VBRUN300.DLL) to any desired directory.
You may run the program by double clicking the file name in FILEMANAGER,
by selecting FILE-RUN and entering the program name in PROGRAM MANAGER,
or you may select FILE-NEW and enter the program name to install the
program and icon in one of your program groups. Consult your Windows
manual for more details.

The programs are otherwise identical.

A DOS version of the life and death clock is also available separately
or in a file usually named DCL.ZIP which contains both DOS and
Windows versions in the same file. 

DCDOS.EXE is designed to run on any DOS machine. It may not run on
some laptops and other machines on which a MODE MONO command has
been executed, however. Unzip DCDOS.EXE to any desired directory
and at the C>, type DCDOS<ENTER> to run the program.


Life and Death Clock is shareware. The registration fee for continued
use beyond a 30 day evaluation period is $15.00. To register, state
