How to Create Lace Ribbon Roses


Materials: (For EACH rose)
3" x 3" square of satin ribbon
3" x 6" length of lace  ribbon
stem wire or lollipop stick
floral tape


Place the right side of the satin ribbon on wrong side of
the lace.

Stitch the 2 layers together along bottom edge.

Fold the right sides of the satin ribbon on the wrong side
of the lace ribbon. Stitch the 2 layers together along the
bottom edge.

Fold right sides of the lace and ribbon unit together
along the edges to make a tube and stitch. Turn right
side out.

Pinch together bottom edge of ribbon and lace unit and
tughtly wrap around a chenille stem about 1/2 inch
above edge.

Wind floral tape around lace and stem, inserting a leaf
in the second wrap from the top and continue winding
down to cover entire stem piece.

Cut an 18 inch piece if 1/8th inch double-face satin
ribbon, Tie in a bow around stem.
