The Fence Rail Quilt Block Strip piecing technique (rotary cutter): Cut 1 strip from each of 6 coordinating fabrics 1 1/2" wide 45" long (selvage to selvage). Sew long strips together in appropriate order. Press flat with seams shut and toward darker color. Place strip on cutting mat. Trim off selvage. Cut unit to 6 1/2". (these measurements include 1/4" seam allowance.) Arrange units as in illustration. Sew top two units, then bottom two units. Join top and bottom units matching center seams. Press flat, sign! Voile!
