It is VERY cheap if you make it the way I do, plus it tastes pretty good. Here's W.B's recipe for CHEAP stroganoff 1 LB ground pork 1/2 bag of egg noodles 16 oz. sour cream 1 smallish yellow onion shotglass of red wine pepper, oregano, basil 1 can cream o' mushroom soup (optional, but adds flavor) 1 small can mushrooms Brown and break up pork. Stir in chopped onions and simmer for a couple minutes. Add sour cream and spices (wine included) to desired texture and palatability. Boil noodles and serve it up. When I make this, I usually get 3-4 pretty large servings. The total cost, if you buy quantity spices and wine, is around 3 or 4 dollars a batch. I'm not sure exactly how this would turn out in a microwave, but if he can find a stove or hot plate to cook on, this is the way to go. Also, I make cheap pizza with Boboli and fresh veggies and cheese. Uh, I have a million things I make that a pretty inexpensive, so drop me E-Mail if you want some more ideas. W.B.
