Steam for about 1 1/2 minutes, then add in the broccoli, re-cover and continue to steam until the vegetables are just tender, about 4 minutes. Preheat a large saut‚ pan on medium high, then use a pastry brush to paint on the olive oil. Toss in the garlic, cauliflower and broccoli and saut‚ until fragrant, about 1 minute. Then toss in the thyme, sesame oil and lemon juice and continue to saut‚ for another minute. Toss with the scallion and serve as a side dish, or make ahead and serve very slightly chilled as a salad. Makes 4 servings; 70 calories per serving; 1 gram of fat; 13% of calories from fat; 87 mg calcium. Freezing broccoli and cauliflower: Make sure the vegetables are free from any yellow or brown spots, then slice them into pieces no more than 1 1/2 inches across.
