Mix it into the flour & evaporated  milk in a pyrex or corning ware casserole. (This is important...the mixture  will eat a layer off metal ware). Cover while leaving a small breaathing hole.  For the next 7 days, stir the mixture twice a day, & once each day during one  of the stirring, add 4 tbl flour to feed the yeast. The mixture should be  gooey & semi-runny. If it's a bit dry, add evaporated milk as needed till  it's a gooey, bubbly mess. I've on ocassion have done this for 12 days rather than 7. the mixture  should also not look grey or smell off, if it does, you'll have to sterilize  the utensils & re-start.
