on order to have the juice exude from almost any fruit, wash the fruit, peel
the fruit, slice the fruit, and sprinkle with sugar.  If you are using a
fruit that turns color when exposed to air (apples, bananas, ect.) toss them
with freshlemon juice before adding the sugar. If you would like the taste
of a liquor with your fruit, add that too.  Cover and let sit at room temp.

for an hour or two, then refrigerate.  This process is called maceration.
