I found it! Here's the recipe for those nice-smelling ornaments! CINNAMON SPICE ORNAMENTS 2 cups unsweetened applesauce 4 tbsp powdered cloves 1/3-cup cinnamon 2 tbsp nutmeg (then) 1/2-cup nutmeg 6 tbsp ginger Mix all ingredients except 1/2-cup nutmeg until dough is formed. Add more nutmeg until dough is firm. Roll out to 1/2" thick. Use cookie cutter to make shapes, use straw to make holes. Dry 3-4 days, then add yarn or string to hang. (NOTE) This recipe was copied from a blackboard by my son in 2nd or 3rd grade. I have not made it myself, but the ornaments HE made at school (4-5 years ago) still have a nice scent! We are lucky to have a health food store with spices sold in bulk, which is much cheaper than the grocery store. Making this with pre-packed spices could be expensive. Good luck! Sorry this won't come in time for the holidays... but may be fun next year! -- Lagniappe -- VNet @1207000 AC -- Farmington,Me. -- 207-778-6977 --
