=========================================================================== BBS: The GWE BBS [ASV/CIN] Date: 01-14-94 (12:23) Number: 360 From: KOUNTRY COOK #1 @1912232* Refer#: NONE To: ALL Recvd: NO Subj: One Pound Pork Chops Conf: (37) Home Cooki --------------------------------------------------------------------------- One Pound Pork Chops Marinating Sauce: 2 c. soy sauce 1 c. water 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 T. dark molasses 1 t. salt Red Sauce: 1/3 c. water 14 oz. bottle Heinz Ketchup 12 oz. bottle Heinz Chile Sauce 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 T. dry mustard 6- 1 lb. center cut pork chops Marinating Sauce: Mix together and bring to a boil the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, molasses and salt. Put 6 one pound center cut pork chops in a pan, bone side up. Pour sauce over chops and let stand overnight in the refrigerator. The next day, take the pork chops out of the sauce, place in a baking pan and cover tightly with foil. Bake at 375 degrees for about 2 hours or until tender. Red Sauce: Dilute dry mustard, sugar and water together leaving no lumps. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a slight boil. Remove from heat. After chops are tender, remove from oven and dip in the red sauce. Take chops after dipping and place in a baking pan and bake for 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven, uncovered, until slightly glazed.
