Glenn, S92ZM inform that he is now operating with a new antenna (Cushcraft R-7) which has low SWR on all bands 40 through 10 meters. Hopefully he will be able to work more DXCC'ers on more bands in the future. His operating schedule is still sporadic, dependent upon his job requirments and the resultant time available and he assures me that he will try to be more frequent on the air for everyone to get a chance at a QSO with him. He has also ordered a new linear amplifier (ALS-600 600 watt out) which will hopefully provide a bit stronger signal for everyone. The QSL route is Glenn Britt, S92ZM C.P. 522 SAO TOME, DRSTP (via Portugal). REP. OF YEMEN. Jacques, J28JJ come back from Sanaa, located in the north of the Rep., and told me that it has been impossible to get a temporary license. He says also that if it has been possible before to get a license from the South, this seems more difficult now by North Administrators, but there could be a solution. A station signing 7O1AA has been active on Wednesday 30th in Zedan, JY3ZH net. The name of the operator is Achmed and he operates from the Radio Club of Aden and asks cards via Box 485 Aden, Republic of Yemen. No RTTY gear but there is one more chance. Send your bandpass and notes for next week to Bob, WB2CJL @ W5KSI.#NOLA.LA.USA.NA or WB2CJL @ ZS5S.ZAF.AF or to WB2CJL @ 9X5LJ.#KGL.RWA.AF.
