Twist Earrings To make solid color earrings you'll need the following cut: Floss for each earring: one 1 yd. strand (the working strand) and three 15" strands (the "anchor strands" or base). Arrange strnads so working strand is on left and anchor strands are on the right. Tie strands in knots as in diagram 2, leaving 4" tail. Tape to surface. Follow steps 1-4 of SOLID COLOR TWIST instructions until desired length. Tie strands in knot as in beginning. Trim tail to same length as beginning tail. If you want to use more than one color, use 1 yd. length of each color you want to show on outside of earring. Remaining strands should be 15" each. There should be a working strnad just as in the MULTI COLOR TWIST instructions. The 1 yd. strand which is not being used as the working strand will beused as a base (anchor) strnade. There should always be 3 strands at the base. Attaching earrings to wire hooks: Wire hooks as shown in gif can be purchased at any craft outlet. Step 1: Thread earring thru the loop at the bottom of the wire hook and hold tail end of earrings. Tie tails together in knot. Step 2: Pull wire hook from bottom up to one side of knot as shown. Step 3: Seperate tails at the top. Bring tails around bottom of wire hook and tie knot on other side. This will stabilize hook. Trim excess tails, if any.
