String Around The Collar

Various threads, yarns, floss (an excellent way to use up those leftovers)
Fuseable Web
Wax Paper
Telfon Pressing Cloth
Aileen's Wash-It Glue
Jewel necked top (tshirt/sweatshirt/etc)

Prewash clothing item to remove any sizing.

Make Pattern for collar by laying a piece of fuseable web over
collar area of clothing. Trace semi-circle of neck opening.

Cut out collar template.

Lay heaviest threads on rough (glue)side of fuseable web, looping loosely
around the template. Follow with next thread, etc., etc.

For best results allow some areas to "show thru" to be able to allow the
blouse fabric to show when attached.

Cover with Teflon Ironing Cloth. Press (lift and set) 15-20 seconds.

Peel off Fuesabe web backing.

Position on shirt.

Iron (lift and set) to shirt using teflon pressing cloth.

Mix OK TO WASH-IT with half part water, spread lightly onto collar.

While this is wet you may sprinkly on glitter if you wish.

Allow to dry 15 minutes.

Apply OK TO WASH-IT full strength over collar area, add silk roses and
faux gems, if desired.

CURE the shirt for ONE WEEK, allowing it to set.

Washing Instructions: Handwash or Inside out on gentle cycle in hosiery
net bag.
