CMPQwk Beta Changes Version 1.40l - The delete key now works in the file open dialog - The message read window was broken in K. It is fixed in L - A new option is on the read window dialog to wrap text in the non- color read window---use this only if instructed to do so--see help! - The Ctrl+Left key was broken in the reply conference read window. - The numpad insert key brings up the QML - Numpad 5 brings up the conference list - Numpad Multiply brings up the reply dialog Version 1.40k - Fixed the attach box, it won't appear in your message anymore. - Fixed the read window when you select a new font. - Worked on the sound thingy. - Made sound better. - If there are bulletins in a packet, it will leave the bulletin seleciton on the right hand menu. - I took out the new UnZipper, the new zipper is still included in this build. - Took the new UnZip routine out, and put the old UnZip routine back in. The Zip routine is the new one, unless you select the old one in the INI. - Changed the memory allocation in the read window. - Changed the speller dialog memory deallocation. - The reply window got an entire workover. - There is a new option in the General config - You can now tell CMPQwk never to display filenames in the dialog boxes unless the BBS has never been opened. - You can now turn off the italics and the underlining in the read options window... Version 1.40i - I broke the confirmation message on opening of a packet when you already had one open. Fixed... - The indexes were being properly made, but not indexed properly within CMPQwk - Fixed. (This only happened if there were no indexes in the QWK packet. - If a packet was opened because it was associated with file manager, it would cause a 003 runtime error on exit. - Ctl3dv2 was not getting released. Could cause GPF's. - "Z" will now jump you to the first reply to the message you are reading. (If there is one), or, if you are reading replies, it will jump to the original message (again, if there is one) - Also on right hand mouse menu. - If a file is attached, CMPQwk will attempt to find the association to that file in the extensions section in the WIN.INI file. If one is found, that icon will appear on the read window header. You can double click this icon to launch the app. - I installed a new ZIP and UNZIP routine. It is internal to CMPQwk, and is much faster. The ZIP routine is now PkZip 2.04g compatible. If your BBS uses 1.x for unpacking, you can set up the shrink.exe file in your external other packet. - I added hooks for CMPQwk to talk to you. With the proper files, CMPQwk will announce the number of personal messages when you open a packet. If anyone has suggestions here about when voice info would be handy/fun/ neat, please let me know. Version 1.40h - Let's see, where to begin. - You can now use the toolbar to navigate the QML - this includes next conference, previous conference, next and previous message, and reply to the highlighted message. - If the QML was maximized, and you minimized CMPQwk, you would get a runtime error 215 ---- Fixed. - The system menu on the conference list now works properly. - I think I fixed the subject sorting... Highlight some text, and press CTRL+Q, and CMPQwk will re-format it as a paragraph for you and put the quote variables in it. - You can now set the right margin of the write window via the CMPQWK.INI file. - The last line of a reply was getting cut of on the initial bringing in of the text into the reply to be written. (Make sense???) - Fixed the spell checker. The private dictionary was broke. - The tagline editor is now fixed at 57 characters. - You can disable the spalsh screen by setting the CMPQWK.INI var DisplayWelcome=Yes to DisplayWelcome=No Version 1.40f - Added what I call SuperSearch. Select Edit/Find off the edit menu. You must have a read window open. - The file open date manipulation is fixed. - The LR pointers now work with Quick Exit. - Added the Quick Search, and the forward to the read window. - Worked on Quoting some more. It seems to work ok now. - Added CloseAllButConf to the Window Menu. - Added a warning on canceling the reply with the little minus sign. Version 1.40e - Fixed the strange stuff that kept appearing in the beginning of the message. - Added Message forwarding - Press "F" or see the message menu. - Fixed the lines in the folder message preview. - Fixed improper read window closures. Version 1.40d - If CMPQwk finds a private routed RIME message, it will put an extra field in the reply header dialog filled in with the RIME address. It will then, like the Internet To line, insert the proper routing code in the first line of the message. - Fixed the GPF that happens when you answer no to the question "All the messages in this conference have been read, would you like to re-read them?" - The Use taglines are now sticky in the reply header dialog. It is stored in the CMPQWK.INI file under UseTaglines=Yes/No - The rubber stamp box now has a tab stop set for the list box. That should prevent keyboard users from having to grab the mouse. Also, the first tabstop is the list box, so there is no need to tab either. - There is a switch in the general options to turn off the confirmation messages throught CMPQwk. It is there to stop those annoying messages like "Spell check done". I've use it enough to say back every time "Who gives a rats ass, just save the darn message!". So, you can now disable them if you would like. - The color window will now come back when you click on a message in the index. - There was a GPF when you double clicked then file close radio button on a read window when it was maximized. It is fixed. - There was problems with the Options/Path configuration with both the tab order, and the "Other Packet" function. Those have both been fixed. - Went to dinner at the Rusty Pellican. - Watched what seemed like thousands of beta testers download version 'c' while I waited to use the phone - Watched Star Trek the New Generation (Yes it was another !@#$%^ repeat!) - Called my *real* boss to tell him that I was sick (yea right) - Typed this beta.txt file so everyone would know exactly what I have improved and/or fixed in CMPQwk. Version 1.40c - UnDeleting of messages was broke. It's fixed now. - Made spell checker load 2-10x faster. - Did some work on a rare GPF when closing a packet. - Search will not lock the buttons or the keyboard when it's done anymore.
