Release Notes for FileClip 4.1 ------------------------------ The following describes the list of new features and bug fixes in going from FileClip 4.0 to FileClip 4.1 New Features: ------------- 1. New Hard Drive Icon, always remembers last destination of a copy operation, or selection from drop down directory box. 2. View button, now allows you to turn off view mode, so you don't have to do it from the Viewer Window. 3. Zip File Archive Viewer!!! 4. Main window returns to orginal position after viewing files. 5. Will now prompt on delete a read only file. 6. Now starts up logged to last directory. 7. If you use the UP button to move up in the directory hierarchy, rather than scrolling to the top of the directory list, the previous directory will be either positioned at the top or be in the scroll range. 8. You can now use the Delete key to delete entries from the clipboard History display stack. 9. Minature bitmaps for apps in registration database are now displayed!!! 10. More CUA compliant drag and drop selection. Right Mouse button now will select multiple files!! 11. Horizontal scroll bar on deeply nested directory viewing 12. Minature Icon display can be turned off with Options Menu Setting. 13. FileClip now remembers main window postion between sessions. 14. New Bitmapped button in Search and Detail Windows 15. View button in Search and Detail Windows. Bugs Fixed: ----------- 1. Problem when moving files to a full floppy, the original files were deleted even though they weren't copied. Note This only happens when moving, not copying files. 2. After doubleclick on a filename in the main browser window, and then bringing up the detail window, the button bar wouldn't work. 3. The Selected File Info, would show the size of the highlighted files in the target directory rather than the source directory. 4. Fixed up Help file and misc. typos. 5. Made Zoom list show all cases on first character typed. 6. When main dialog is opened up for copying files, opening Detail Window and then closing it causes system to hang. 7. Program no longer bounces back to C drive after copying from floppy, this was a feature to try to prevent one from staying logged to floppy and disk space updates causing the disk to grind, and errors if disk is removed. 8. State of buttons is properly retained after closing detail window in middle of copy operation - see 6 above. 9. Viewing File without extension caused GPF. 10. If you edit file from using the File|Edit menu command in the View window the view window closes. 11. Made Clipboard History top of stack edit display accept input like advertised in help file. 12. Detail Window Selection's now properly echoed in main listbox. 13. When launching editor, or app from View window, new application is brought to foreground rather than main FileClip Window. 14. If DISK volume name was extremely long, it could overwrite dropdown box control.
