The individual players create a empire that they must manage. This management includes keeping people happy, handling covert activities, and managing military resources and ultimately to determine strategy that will put the player on top of all empires. Its not easy as the Galactic Newspaper often tells of under-handed activities that you may be involved with. Fortunately it is possible to publish an article in this paper to tell your side of the story. As a rising Emperor you may find it useful to ally with one of your neighbors. You can use inter-galactic mail and military transfers of goods and military supplies to make this alliance. Do you have what it takes?? Software Requirements: ---------------------- 1. FALKEN BBS v6.x or greater 2. At least 165k of Doors Memory. 3. All accounts that play the game *MUST* have a 8 character account number that is unique to each player. This account number is used to create mailboxes for each player for inter-game mail. 4. Every day at a predetermined time the program CLEANWAR.EXE is to be run. This program will reset flags so that players will get new turns every day. This is best done by a timer-event. Refer to the FALKEN users manual for a complete description of timer-event. Installation Instructions: ------------------------- 1. Create a directory that can be used as a work area by Warlords. 2. Copy CLEANWAR.EXE to the same directory that FALKEN's MAINBBS.EXE is located. 3. Copy WAR40.EXE to the standard directory that you place your doors programs at. Then run FALKEN's BBSCFG and indicate the key and the path to the WAR30.EXE executable. Refer to your FALKEN manual for complete information on the installation of DOORS. 4. Copy NEWWAR.EXE to the same directory that FALKEN's MAINBBS.EXE is located 5. Run NEWWAR.EXE in the directory that MAINBBS.EXE resides. Answer the questions and the proper files will be created. It is advised that turns be set to 5 a day, more would disturb the balance of the game. It is also advised to set the winning score at 175000 for a medium length game, less for a shorter game, more for a longer game. Problems? --------- Support BBS: (804) 428-5423
