        Well, first off, so as not to confuse transfer protocols with
modem protocols, the protocol's name is HS/Link, not HST Link.  You
should be able to set up the protocol in PROTOCOL.CTL (I think that's
what it's called) as an external protocol.  There is a selection to make
it a bidrectional protocol, too.  Check the docs.
