I pondered and pondered this part of the distribution of this program. At one point I was going to release the program and the source code for free. Consulting with quite a few people, they discouraged from doing this. In fact 100% of the people I talked with said don't do it. The strongiest argument I heard was: 'what is going to motivate you to upgrade and improve this program.' Well I said I'm using the program for my own use too, and I'll need to make improvements. Their response was, would CASH motivate you more? I responded: YES. :*) Well still I don't think I'm going to get rich from this small program, and I really don't want to. (That's not get rich, but rather not get rich from this program.) :*) So here's the compromise. As this program will allow you to control 'subscriptions' to your BBS, and along those lines one usually charges for those subscriptions. I'm going to make the registration fee equal to what you charge for a one year subscription to your BBS. If you charge $10 a year, the registration fee is $10, if you charge $100, it's $100. If you charge nothing, the registration fee is NOTHING. For the registration you'll receive a copy of the program which has your name in the FROM field in the generated user msg's, instead of UNREGISTERED SYSOP. You'll find another file in this archive called REGSTR.FRM which details how and where payments should be sent. Mark Moran
