1-12-93 This Door was written for Wildcat 3.xx systems and uses the Door.sys File If you find bugs , please leave info with private message to me at wildcat hq. Create a sub dir called INFO under the \WC30 dir. copy MAIN.ZIP file into \WC30\INFO unzip MAIN.ZIP file and then delete the MAIN.ZIP file Create a Door#.Bat in \wc30 directory with contents as this.... CD\WC30\INFO INFO INFO.CFG and change INFO.CFG file to suit your BBS info There is a new File called G1SETUP.EXE that will create a INFO.CFG file for you. THE INFO.CFG HAS AN EXTRA LINE FOR YOUR SPONSOR NAME IF THERE IS NO SPONSOR PUT YOUR NAME HERE OR THE WORD ( NONE ) All of the info help information files are created with a true ansi editor so you can change the Main Menu selections and edit the actual information help files. The Main Menu at this time can only have 12 selections and the selections must be in the format that the sample is in. The help file( instr.txt ) can also be edited to suit your needs. The files are labeled 1.txt , 2.txt , 3.txt ex... to correspond to the Menu selections. Do to some callers screen limitations do not make you info files longer than 70 char. wide. Number of lines does not matter. the info files and menu selections are set up as a bbs help and information door. but because you can change the menu and change the info files , as well as the instr.txt file you can completely change the format of what the door is for. thats all. A new addition************* Now you can create your own opening display using THEDRAW. The program will search for a file called ANSI1.SCR and ANSI1.BBS and if they exist will send this file as your opening display instead of the default. The file must be created with THEDRAW , saved with the none option, and no more than 80 characters wide. THEDRAW will inform you of the number of lines when it saves the file, and will ask you for the maximum line length when you start to save the file. When you create your displays, You should create your color display and save it as an ansi file called "ANSI1.SCR" and then resave it as an ascii file called "ANSI1.BBS". Both of these files then go in the \wc30\info directory along with all the other files. There is a File called INFO.KEY that must be present. When the program is registered, you will receive a new key file. Questions or comments ECHOS OF ENCHANTMENTS BBS 1-310-421-7056 DONALD DAHLMAN
