N.N.C.S


  N.N.C.S. is "The National Network of Cooperative Sysops. This is very
simply a group of Sysops who have banded Together in cooperation with other
members accross the nation in the free exchange of PD and Shareware files.
  It Was started primarily To help Sysops who call long distance in search
of those certain files. Calling long distance is expensive enough, but
having to go through long newuser logins & Questionairs only to find that
the BBS is $ ONLY, or has a up/download ratio of 1 to 1, or a files area
of 5 megs, can really singe your wires. There has got to be a better way!

  Thats where our group comes in. Each Member agrees to allow any other
Long Distance member (Long Distance being Over 25 Miles) an hour a
day on-line time, downloading access, and no upload requirments or fees.
Any Member may call any other member BBS (Over 25 miles) with The same
privileges. In This way, All member Sysops benefit by being able To access
all BBS's in the network easily and without unfriendly sysop hastle.
It's a give & take relationship. You give access to your board, and in
return, you can have access To his or any other member BBS. Plus you
know that every BBS you call will be a friendly BBS.
  A List of all member BBS's will be available for download from the
support BBS starting march 1, 1992. The List will be updated twice a month,
and will Include, BBS name, The Sysop's name, BBS number, Highest baud
baud rate, modem, and # of megs in file storage.
In addition, members may optionally upload their allfiles.lst to
The support bbs, which will make it available to member sysops.
  Registration is free. Once you are registered you will receive
your member ID number and your BBS placed on the members list. Sysops
may want to verify you & check your BBS with The List before access.
 Membership includes, NO dues, NO fees, NO meetings, just cooperation.
       membership requires....
          #1. You have at least 2400 baud (preferably 9600) modem.
          #2. You allow members at least 45 minutes (1 hour for 2400)
              On-Line Time.
          #3. No Uploads or fees required for members.
          #4. You must have at least 40 megs in files
          #5. The Member BBS you call is at least 25 miles from
              Your BBS (Heads off possible Sysop friction).
  Hopefully, This association will make The Class act Sysop's Life just a
little easier. Anyone with any information on a database Door that will do
a Quick files search of multiple allfiles lists please leave a comment.
