That first amazing 64K machine featuring a single-sided floppy drive and cassette BASIC has led him to a professional career that has spanned the history of the IBM-PC and its now superior and innumerable clones. Jeff spent several years developing PC and Windows applications (beginning with the incredible Windows 1.0) for several leading Wall Street firms. He was a pioneer student at Microsoft University's Windows Applications Development course in the days where a steak and lobster lunch with Bill Butler (author of GDI) was part of the curriculum and paid for by Microsoft, and the Advanced Windows course was taught by Paul Yao another member of the Windows development team and co-author of Peter Norton's "Windows 3.0 Power Programming Techniques. Having served in the halls of Mammon for as long as he could stand it, Jeff joined the development staff of the leading maker of Windows based CASE tools where he coded intensely for two years. Currently, he is working on porting several CAD/CAM applications from various UNIX systems to Windows 3.1 for the microwave electronics industry. Gene De Libero has been working with computers since 1980. While Jeff's background is programming, Gene has worked as a Multimedia and Network Specialist, developing systems of integrated networks supporting Novell, UNIX and DEC VAX/VMS workstations using IPX, TCP/IP and other protocols. He is also skilled in the development of process control hardware and software systems used in the automation of multi-million dollar manufacturing and environmental machinery. Presently, Gene is an Assistant Vice President in the Systems group within a specialty swaps trading subsidiary at the largest bank in the world. He will be developing an integrated network of MAC Quadra, IBM PS/2 and SUN Sparc Stations and Servers as well as DEC VAX equipment. Open Windows, MS Windows, MAC System 7 and other GUIs will be used to create a highly functional and productive system linking the accounting, marketing and administrative departments as well as the trading floor. Future plans call for a WAN between London, Tokyo and New York offices and the development of customized GUI software to meet the changing information management needs of the company. Gene is also the owner of East Coast MIDI(tm) Information Systems, a highly successful international online service dedicated to MIDI and Multimedia located in New York.
