Doble X, Inc. is now shipping TheRef v2.5 a product that contains
thousands of computer related products and vendor information with
a program to facilitate access to such information.

The philosophy of this product is to have a one stop source of
information for computer related products worldwide, at a fraction
of the cost of similar services and products.  The main thrust of
the databases is software products and companies, but it also
contains thousands of hardware, accessories and book listing.

The Vendor Database contains information on computer related
manufacturers, publishers, distributors, an many more. The
information maintained for each record includes Vendor Name,
mailing address, company type, brief description, years in business
and company phone numbers including, toll free, local, BBS,
technical support as well international, if any.

The Products Database contains information on computer related
hardware, software and accessories for not only IBM and DOS but
also for AMIGA, UNIX, MAC, and many more. The information included
for each product is: Product Name, manufacturer, product type,
Retail price, platform and a brief description.

Users can search any database by any one field or a combination of
fields, by just typing a partial word or number.  A list of the
entries matching the search criteria will appear on a scrollable
window at which point the user can choose to get further
information or print one or more entries.

The list price of the product is $199.95 plus $59.95 for the 
first year suscription which entitles the user to quarterly 
updates to the program and databases. Renewal rate for subsequent
years is $69.95.  Registered users  can also get up to the minute
updates of the software and database by calling the company's
Bulletin Board System.  

A special introductory price of $99.95 is being offered by the company.

A demonstration version is available on the company's BBS  or by
calling the company directly.

The program runs on any MS-DOS or  Windows based system with at
least 512K RAM and 10Mg of hard disk drive space free. The company
is currently working on versions for MAC and UNIX based systems.
