It is also better than most commercial payrolls. Handles from 1 to 2,000 employees in ANY Province or Territory of Canada except Quebec. It interfaces to ANY Accounting System (even manual bookkeeping). It does EVERYTHING, maintain employee info., calculates pay and taxes, prints cheques or payslips, cheque register, payroll register, summary journal, even does PD7AR, T4, and the pay history table needed for the UIC ROE Form. Handles taxes on Employee Benefit Plans. Can also export files to Lotus, Quattro, dBASE, etc. Also handles multiple pay frequencies, and Accountants doing client payroll will appreciate its ability to handle multiple employee files. Complete documentation on disk ready to print out. Needs 355K memory and a hard disk. Runs on IBM XT, AT, PS/2, and compatibles. If you are looking for payroll you MUST try this one. ************************************ There is some free space on each disk for ShareWare Distributor's own distribution files. If you need more space you could delete the SCRAMBLE.EXE file from disk 1 as PAYROLL CANADA will work fine without that optional data encryption program. Do not delete any other files. We also have an equivalent U.S. Payroll System PAYROLL USA. Contact us if you have subsidiary companies in the U.S.A., or otherwise have a need for it. FILE LIST --------- A complete set of files for PAYROLL CANADA Vers. 3.61 is distributed on 2 360K 5 1/4 inch diskettes. BBS operators may wish to further compress each diskette into a large ZIP file then post each of the two resulting large ZIP files on their board with this PAYCN36.TXT information file, if possible, example PAYCN36.TXT PAYROLL CANADA V3.61 DOWNLOAD INFO. AT 2/93 PAYCN361.ZIP PAYROLL CANADA V3.61 DISK 1 OF 2 RELEASED 2/93 PAYCN362.ZIP PAYROLL CANADA V3.61 DISK 2 OF 2 RELEASED 2/93 Do NOT delete PKUNZIP.EXE from disk 1 - it is not redundant inside a big zip as it is used by our INSTALL.EXE program which sets up our standard directory names before unpacking our original zips. It will take about one hour to download both disks at 2400 baud (half an hour each), or about 15 minutes total at 9600 baud. It is a big download but it will be worthwhile. DISK 1 CONTAINS: INSTALL EXE 34400 02-05-93 Controls intallation & directories PKUNZIP EXE 23528 03-15-90 Used by install.exe to unpack files SCRAMBLE EXE 29376 02-05-93 Optional Data Encryption Program TESTDATA ZIP 14389 08-06-91 Test Employees for Quick Evaluation PAYCN36A ZIP 76994 04-24-90 Slide Show & Docs Part 1 of 2 PAYCN36B ZIP 102023 02-05-93 Slide Show & Docs Part 2 of 2 PAYCN36E ZIP 55805 02-05-93 Working programs part 3 of 3 SYSOP DOC 758 02-05-93 Information for BBS Operators VENDOR DOC 3451 02-05-93 Information for Disk Vendors PAYCN36 TXT 6697 02-05-93 Installation & Download Info FILE_ID DIZ 652 02-05-93 BBS Description File DESC SDI 652 02-05-93 BBS Description File DISK 2 CONTAINS: INSTALL2 BAT 914 12-28-92 Tells you to start install with disk 1 PAYCN36D ZIP 92512 02-05-93 Working programs part 2 of 3 PAYCN36C ZIP 252958 02-05-93 Working programs part 1 of 3 INSTALLATION FROM DISKETTES --------------------------- If you received the two diskettes, put disk 1 in drive A and type A: CD \ INSTALL then insert disk 2 when prompted. (If you use the 3.5 inch diskettes your ShareWare Distributor may have copied both of our 5.25 inch distribution disks onto one 3.5 inch disk [they are physically smaller but hold more], in which case INSTALL.EXE will not ask for another disk). INSTALLATION FROM MODEM DOWNLOADS --------------------------------- If you downloaded the disks over your modem as two large ZIP or ARC etc. files then they must be unpacked first onto whichever directory you use to test downloads, or onto diskettes. They can both be unpacked onto the same disk or directory. Once unpacked run the INSTALL program and it will do the rest for you. If you experience any difficulty with the INSTALL program you may install the files manually. The DOS commands to do this (assuming your hard disk is drive C and you unpacked the two large ZIP or ARC files onto a directory called \DOWNLOAD) would be: C: MD \PAYSLIDE CD \PAYSLIDE COPY \DOWNLOAD\PKUNZIP.EXE PKUNZIP \DOWNLOAD\PAYCN36A PKUNZIP \DOWNLOAD\PAYCN36B DELETE PKUNZIP.EXE MD \PAYPGMS CD \PAYPGMS COPY \DOWNLOAD\PKUNZIP.EXE PKUNZIP \DOWNLOAD\PAYCN36C PKUNZIP \DOWNLOAD\PAYCN36D PKUNZIP \DOWNLOAD\PAYCN36E PKUNZIP \DOWNLOAD\TESTDATA DELETE PKUNZIP.EXE RUNNING PAYROLL CANADA ---------------------- Decompressing the ZIP files is a one time job. It need never be done a second time. Once decompressed, whether manually or by the INSTALL.EXE program, you can run the component programs as follows: To see the Slide Show or print the Documentation: C: CD \PAYSLIDE RUNSLIDE To use the PAYROLL CANADA system: C: CD \PAYPGMS PAYMENU REMEMBER TO DELETE OUR TEST EMPLOYEES BEFORE YOU ADD YOUR OWN PEOPLE. PLAY AROUND WITH OURS FIRST, THEN: C: ERASE \PAYIN ERASE \PAYOUT This will get rid of ALL employees and leave you to start a new file with your own people. HAVE FUN !!!
