Système International Converter			                VERSION 1.0

S.I. Converter is a Windows calculator designed to convert traditional
amounts into Système International (SI) units and vice versa.  This comes
in handy nowadays when most, if not all, the medical/technical journals
show values in SI units now, instead of traditional units (e.g., blood
glucose, which used to be expressed as mg/dl are now mmol/L).

*** PLEASE NOTE IF YOU OBTAINED THIS PROGRAM FROM A BBS ***
VBRUN100.DLL (a Visual Basic runtime file) is also required to run S.I.
Converter. If you have downloaded S.I. Converter from a BBS, you will
also need to OBTAIN VBRUN100.DLL BEFORE RUNNING THE SETUP PROGRAM!  It
should be available through most BBSs (on CompuServe, it is available
through the Microsoft Basic Forum Library.  Type GO MSBASIC).  You must
THEN RENAME VBRUN100.DLL AS VBRUN100.DL_!


To INSTALL S.I. Converter:

(1)  From Program Manager, choose File | Run,
(2)  Type <the directory where these files are>\SETUP.EXE, then
(3)  Press ENTER.
    

To RUN S.I. Converter:

(1)  Simply double-click on the S.I. Converter icon.


ACTIONS TAKEN during installation:

(1) AUTOEXEC.BAT, CONFIG.SYS and WIN.INI are NOT affected.
(2) SETUPKIT.DL_, VER.DL_ and VBRUN100.DL_ are placed (usually) in the
    WINDOWS subdirectory and their respective extensions changed from .DL_
    to .DLL.
(3) SETUP.EXE is copied to the WINDOWS subdirectory and renamed
    SISET.EXE.
(4) THREED.VBX is also copied (usually) to the WINDOWS subdirectory.
(5) A separate subdirectory is created at the root level (default name is
    SICONVRT) where SICONVRT.EXE, SIHELP.HLP, ITEMS.DAT, LICENSE.TXT and
    README.TXT are placed.
(6) A separate Program Manager Group is created and the S.I. Converter
    program icon is placed within it.


Our expectation is that S.I. Converter is error-free. Sometimes, however,
users will find errors (usually typographical in nature). If you find one
of these errors, please contact us at the address below, or by way of
CompuServe, so these errors may be corrected.

S.I. Converter is SHAREWARE.  That means you get to "Try-Before-You-Buy"
the software, in order to determine whether the program is right for you.
It should not take long for this program to show its worth.  We trust
you to send the required registration fee - in this case $20 + $2.50 S/H
(AND, if you're lucky enough to live in Oklahoma, an added OK state
tax) - or stop using the program.  By registering your copy, you will be
sent the latest edition of S.I. Converter and notified of any updates to
it.  You will also be put on our mailing list and notified of other new
programs published by Indian Territory Software.  This fee supports our
ongoing efforts to create new and better programs for you.
