XTree for Windows Zip 2.0 Update File =================== Purpose: -------- This patch provides Zip 2.0 file extraction capabilities to users of XTree for Windows version 1.5. It will not operate on earlier versions of XTree for Windows. Once this patch is successfully applied, you will be able to extract and view files in Zip 2.0 archive files (in addition to Zip 1.1 archive files). "Multi-floppy" Zip 2.0 files are not yet supported. Installing the Patch: --------------------- 1) Copy the contents of this archive into your XTree for Windows program directory (usually C:\XTREEWIN). 2) Close XTree for Windows and quit Windows (or open a DOS window). XTree for Windows must not be running when this patch is applied. 3) You may want to make copies of the files listed below on a floppy disk. It is the only way to restore XTree for Windows to its original configuration. Files to be updated: XTREEWIN.EXE XTWZCFS.DLL XTWUZPE.DLL 4) From the DOS prompt, type the word PATCH. The update process is now automatic. When the patch is complete, check the following files to make sure they are the correct size: XTREEWIN.EXE 83,968 bytes XTWZCFS.DLL 48,575 bytes XTWUZPE.DLL 72,535 bytes 5) The update is now complete. You can restart XTree for Windows and Windows, if necessary.
