    NOTE: Some of the following changes were made starting with v7.6bn
          v7.6bn was a limited release. Version 8.0BN replaces earlier
          versions. Please use only the most recent versions of The Zip
          Terminus, PKZIP, and VIRUSCAN as they become available. Call
          the STC BBS via modem to obtain current Zip Terminus version
          number and other current release information.

    1. Tested ZTEC80B for VIRUSCAN 9.23v112 &113 beta. Note that The Zip
       Terminus v8.0BN checks for 460Kb free contiguous conventional RAM
       at program startup.

    2. Fixed problem in v7.6bn configuration table which would not allow
       user to select directories locations for pkzip and viruscan.

       The Zip Terminus configuration table was modified (v8.0BN) because of
       the inclusion of ALT-O function (read below). The two table entries
       which previously contained the zipup and unzip archiver options now
       default to 'NONE'. The table entries have been renamed to "ADD
       COMPRESS  OPTIONS:" and  "ADD EXTRACT OPTIONS:" . Use these config.
       table entries only to add additional options not available either
       through ALT-O or the pkzip.cfg file.

    3. Added ALT-O ARCHIVER OPTIONS box which now allows user to easily
       select compression type, attribute manipulation, recurse and recurse
       with directory structure storage, extract and restore directory
       structure, etc.

       NOTE: "BACKUP" should be turned off if you are using pkzip.cfg
             Use main menu selection #4 MULTI-VOLUME ARCHIVES instead.

    4. Modified the The Zip Terminus virus scan option selection table
       in the "VIRUS SCAN DIR/DRIVE" submenu. The available user selected
       options for memory check were separated in v7.6 and now include:

           C. CHECK MEMORY FOR CRITICAL & STEALTH .....  [     ]
           D. CHECK MEMORY FOR * ALL * KNOWN VIRUSES ..  [     ]

   NOTE: Selection #D sends VIRUSCAN the /M option which instructs
         scan.exe to check for ALL known viruses which may inhabit memory.
         Turning option selection #D to ON is not recommended if the user
         also runs or makes use of another anti-viral program package which
         does not remove, cipher, hide or otherwise encrypt its own virus
         search strings in memory. Read the VIRUSCAN documentation for
         more information concerning the SCAN/CLEAN /M option.

   NOTE: The Zip Terminus v8.0BN by default does not send the /M option to
         scan.exe for virus checks performed during extraction or compression.
         The user may add a /M, if appropriate(refer to above), to the Zip
         Terminus configuration table entry #8 if so desired.

   NOTE: Use the Zip Terminus only in concert with McAfee Associates anti-
         viral products for best results.


    5. It is now possible to run scan.exe using only default settings during
       virus checks made in extraction or compression operations. The user may
       enter "NONE" for the ZIPUP/UNZIP VSCAN OPTS configuration table entry
       if so desired. Note that a minimum of /A is recommended here when
       extracting archives of unknown content, installing software, or if a
       file-infecting virus has been found. /CHKHI is also appropriate if
       your machine is equipped with more than 640Kb of RAM.

       The first time startup values for the ZIPUP/UNZIP VSCAN OPTS table
       entry are /A /CHKHI. If you are using an XT machine memory may be
       scanned twice because of the CHKHI switch. The "/CHKHI" option may
       be removed if desired in such cases. Please refer to the VIRUSCAN
       documentation for a description of /A and /CHKHI

    6. NOTE: You must first toggle F8-VIRUS SCAN to 'ON' before virus
             checking will take place during extraction or compression.
             VIRUSCAN(tm) by McAfee Associates is required.

    7. Added "REDUCTION RATIO" to archive analysis display. (v7.6BN)

    8. Version 8.0BN has the additional user option of creating MV Zips
       with file source specifications other than *.*   (v7.6)

    9. Revised manual path entry procedure.


   Changes to v8.0A :

   10. Password to continue after possible virus detected is now only
       required if network present and the Zip Terminus was started with
       the /O option. Read ZT80BDOC.TXT for information on password.

   11. Screen saver: swap screen ALT-O options box.
