PHOTOS
  
  It is has been said a picture is worth a thousand words.  Pictures have been
  a part of AUTOMATE from the start.
  
  Pictures  of  hardware  built  by  the  author  mostly.  These pictures  are
  extremely useful in understanding what is being built.  Things like sensors,
  connector boxes and hardware,  X-10 hardware, simulator boxes, stuff for the
  weather station, and so long.
  
  Over time this proved  to be a bit  of a hassle and fairly expensive to keep
  on  hand  reprints  of  the  necessary  photos.  These  photos  are included
  depending on which modules were ordered.
  
  Recently I digitized all the photos in the collection, so they can be viewed
  on a computer monitor.
  
  The advantages of  this are  it is  quite convenient,  easy to reproduce and
  cheap.  To use this capability  the user must  have a computer system with a
  VGA video. The photos are presented in GIF format and are in color.
  
  Plus with this capability  there is no  real limit on the  number of photos.
  Where different views where taken of the same shot, they can be included.
  
  On the order form is a box to  check for how you would like your photos.  If
  you check VGA Digital,  your photos are included on disk.  There is a little
  program to run for viewing the photos.  You get a lot more photos,  lot more
  views from different angles. Different blow-up sizes etc.
  
  If you cannot handle this capability check the box for Photo Prints. You get
  prints instead.  There are  fewer  photos and  only  one view point  of each
  subject.
  
  In the UTILITY-Pak Module are programs  for putting photos in your programs.
  Also is information on where,  how,  etc.  to get the digitizing services if
  you do not wish to do this yourself.
