Known Problems with Vacation Planner: 1. Like many of us, VP has a memory problem. If you use VP at the extremes with very long trip plans and huge maps, your computer may lockup. If operating at these conditions, I suggest saving your trip plans and maps frequently. It is impossible to predict exactly when this will occur; however, with maps of more than 1500 cities, you should keep your trip plans shorter than 150 cities. This is normally not a problem unless you have asked for a trip plan that goes from one end of the map to the other five times. If you use our map files and do not request a single trip plan that crosses from one side of the map to the other more than twice, you will probably never see this problem. For example, on a US map, Seattle, WA to Miami, FL and back is OK. If you try Seattle to Miami to New York to San Diego to Detroit in a single trip plan, you may have a problem (driving it, too!). 2. Version 5.0 maps and trip plans are not compatible with earlier versions. If the program crashes while loading a map or trip plan, this may be the cause.
