Unique Identifier : AIDSLINE ICA10/94369584 AB AIM: to study the incidence of HIV-related lymphomas and survival from time of diagnosis of lymphoma. METHODS: retrospective case-notes analysis of 50 patients with Non Hodgkin Lymphomas (NHL) 1/1/'83-31/12/'92. Analyses involved rank correlations, logistic regression and survival analyses. RESULTS: TABULAR DATA, SEE ABSTRACT VOLUME. Incidence in new cases (p < 0.002) and proportion of live AIDS patients (p < 0.002) increased. Survival from time lymphoma did not change (R = 0.22, p = 0.17). Patients with index diagnosis had better early survival (Wilcoxon X2 = 5.2, p = 0.02) but worse late survival (Logrank X2 = 3.2, p = 0.07) compared with non-index NHL. Incidence NHL not significantly associated with up to 36 months of anti-retroviral treatment. CONCLUSIONS: (1) incidence NHL increased and anticipated to increase in future (2) this will result in greater demand of cancer services and hospice care.
