You must also disable system board memory to 256K bytes or less. MAGNUM PC NON-TURBO VERSION This 4.77-MHz computer is incompatible with Inboard 366/PC. MEGATRONICS SYSTEM BOARD (Field report) One user reports Inboard 386/PC is compatible with the 4.77-MHz version of this system board. However, the 10-MHz version would not boot with Inboard 386/PC installed. NCR PC6 (Field report) The NCR PC6 is incompatible with Inboard 386/PC. The computer won't boot, and it fails speed tests. NCR 4I (Field report) The NCR 4i is reported incompatible with Inboard 386/PC. It blanks out the screen. NCR reportedly stated that all accelerator boards cause video problems in the 4i. OMNITEK OMNITEK (Field report) This computer is reported to be compatible with Inboard 386/PC if the NOCACHE parameter is used in the INBRDPC.SYS command in the CONFIG.SYS file. Without the NOCACHE parameter, the computer locks up on warm boot. PACKARD BELL Recent versions of this computer are incompatible with Inboard 386/PC because system memory is soldered onto the system board, and there is no way to disable this memory. (Field report) Early versions of this computer are reported compatible with Inboard 386/PC if its switchable CPU speed is set to 4.77 Mhz. Installing the Inboard 386/PC cable is difficult. Some of these computers have the 8088 soldered to the system board. Intel strongly discourages removing the 8088 in these computers because you can easily damage the system board. PAPAU XT (Field report) This computer is reported to be incompatible with the Inboard 386/PC. PC DESIGNS (Field report) This computer is reported compatible with Inboard 386/PC if you disable its Turbo mode (by setting jumpers on the system board). You must also disable system board memory to 256K bytes or less. PC'S LIMITED (Field report) This computer is reported to be incompatible with Inboard 386/PC. The computer powers up at 8 MHz. SAMSUNG 5330 This computer is incompatible with Inboard 386/PC. The cable is too short, and you can't disable the computer's memory. SANYO 885 (Field report) One user reports this computer is compatible with Inboard 386/PC. SJC ULTRABOARD (Field report) One user reports having to turn the computer's power on and off several times to get this computer to work with Inboard 386/PC. SPERRY PC HT The 8088 is soldered to the system board in this computer, so it is incompatible with Inboard 386/PC. SPERRY PORTABLE This computer is incompatible with Inboard 386/PC. There is no way to disable the computer's conventional memory. TANDON Intel has tested Inboard 386/PC with Tandon Model 6005A, and they are compatible. Tech note: At one point Intel used a Tandon Model 6005A with an Inboard 386/PC for its Bulletin Board System. TANDY 1200HD Intel has tested Inboard 386/PC with this computer, and they are compatible. NOTE: Early Inboard 386/PC manuals depicted the 8088 and 8087 in the 5- slot version incorrectly (the chips were reversed). The manual has been corrected. VENDEX HEADSTART (Field Report) This computer is incompatible with Inboard 386/PC because the computer's RAM is soldered in, and its conventional memory can't be disabled. VIP VIP This computer is incompatible with Inboard 386/PC. ZENITH 150, 151, AND 152 (Field report) These computers are reported compatible with Inboard 386/PC. The Zenith 150 has 320K bytes of memory on the computer RAM board. To install Inboard 386/PC in this computer, you must remove 64K bytes of RAM, so the computer has only 256K bytes (banks 0-3). Then set total system memory on the CPU board for 640K bytes. NOTE: This compatibility report covers only Zenith models 150, 151, and 152. Zenith models 158 and 159 are incompatible with Inboard 386/PC. ZENITH 158, 159, AND 16X These computers are incompatible with Inboard 386/PC because the Inboard 386/PC cable is too short, the computer fails the timer tests, and the computer won't boot.
