Some customers report no problems at all. But we do have one report: When installing an Above Board, one customer got the Above Board message "The math co-processor switch on your computer's system board is not set correctly." The system had no switches for a math coprocessor and no math coprocessor was in the system. We do not guarantee compatibility. TANDY 1000 & ABS INCOMPATIBLE with Above Boards and not tested with the Matched Memory Classic, however, we do have one *CUSTOMER REPORT* of the Matched Memory Classic working in a Tandy 1000. System bus is IBM compatible, but slots are not full length so Above Boards will not fit. The Matched Memory Classic is only a two-thirds- length board so it may fit in this system, but again, we have not tested this and do not guarantee compatibility. TANDY 1200 HD Compatible with current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards, also compatible with the discontinued Above Board 286, PS/286, PC, and PS/PC. This computer is an XT compatible. TANDY 2000 Incompatible with any Above Board or Matched Memory Classic board. The expansion slots are totally non-IBM compatible. WYSE WY1000, WY1100 *CUSTOMER REPORTS* of compatibility with current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards in these XT-compatible computers. There are also reports of compatibility with the discontinued Above Board 286, PS/286, PC, and PS/PC. WY1000 is a 2-floppy version. WY1100 has a floppy and a hard disk. XEROX 6064/6065 *CUSTOMER REPORTS* of compatibility with current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards in these 8086-based computers. There are also reports of compatibility with the discontinued Above Board 286, PS/286, PC, and PS/PC. Model 6064 is floppy-diskette based, Model 6065 has a hard disk. Tech notes: This system is very similiar to the AT&T 6300. Generally recommended to install an Intel memory card in an IBM-type 8- bit slot. This Xerox system runs at 8MHz. If parity check errors occur on an Above board PC or PS/PC and the Above Board PC or PS/PC has -20 chips that ARE on our recommended list, try using -15 chips in their place or swapping the Above Board to another expansion slot (including one of 16-bit slots). INTEL MEMORY CARDS AND OLDER ZENITH PC SYSTEMS Many older Zenith PC systems have 320K system boards. Intel memory cards cannot fill conventional memory to 640k if there is 320K already provided. Intel memory cards can fill conventional memory to 640k if there is 256k or 512k already installed. If 64K of memory is removed from these system boards, error messages are returned by the system, so they must be filled first before adding any memory expansion boards. DO NOT set any memory card to overlap the memory between 256K and 320K on the system board as this may cause parity checks or data errors. If an Intel memory card is to be used in this system, another board must fill the conventional memory to 640K. Use the Intel memory card for expanded memory and/or port functions only. If it is possible to add another board - AND HAVE IT COMPLETELY FULL (no empty sockets) - and bring the system to 512K, then AB could fill from 512K to 640K. ZENITH 148 Compatible with current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards. Above Board PC and PS/PC are unreliable in the system at 8MHz, because of increased bus speed. System has dual speed bus - 4.77MHz and 8MHz. Zenith says that 30% of PC add-on boards don't work in this system. The following problems may occur at 8MHz using Above Board PC or PS/PC: SETUPAB returns incompatible DOS error message, Lotus spreadsheets have error messages or random errors, RAMdisk files may have errors. See "Intel memory cards and older Zenith Systems". ZENITH 150 Compatible with current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards. Also compatible with the discontinued Above Board 286, PS/286, PC, and PS/PC. If an Above Board PC is used to fill conventional memory, it may need the same type (64K or 256K) chips as motherboard. If system board has 320K, then DO NOT use an Intel memory card to backfill conventional memory. Fill conventional memory to 512K or 640K using another expansion board and then use the Intel memory card as expanded memory only. See "Intel memory cards in older Zenith Systems". ZENITH 151 Compatible with current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards. Also compatible with the discontinued Above Board 286, PS/286, PC and PS/PC. The Zenith 151 system board has 320K. DO NOT use an Intel memory card to bring conventional memory to 640k. They can only backfill from 256K or 512K. Use another memory board to fill conventional memory. Use the Intel memory card for expanded memory only. See "Intel memory cards in older Zenith Systems". ZENITH 158 Compatible with current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards. System has dual speed bus - 4.77MHz and 8MHz. Above Board PC and PS/PC are unreliable in the system at 8MHz, because of increased bus speed. System will probably work at 4.77MHz speed. Zenith says that 30% of PC add-on boards don't work in this system. The following problems may occur using an Above Board PC or PS/PC at 8MHz: SETUPAB returns incompatible DOS error message, Lotus spreadsheets have error messages or random errors, RAMdisk files may have errors. See "Intel memory cards in older Zenith Systems". ZENITH 159 *CUSTOMER REPORTS* of compatibility between this computer and current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards. Tech Note: One customer read the following from his manual: "System has 640k with 384k extended, has 768k conventional which can be used as 640k and 128k EMS memory. Additional memory boards can be added to get more EMS memory". We are not sure what they meant by that. ZENITH 160 Compatible with current Above Boards, Matched Memory Classic boards, and the discontinued Above Board 286, PS/286, PC, and PS/PC. If an Above Board PC or PS/PC is used to fill conventional memory, it may need same type (64K or 256K) chips as the Zenith 160 motherboard. If the Zenith system has 320K on the motherboard, see "Intel memory cards in older Zenith Systems". ZENITH 161 Compatible with current Above Boards, Matched Memory Classic boards, and also with the discontinued Above Board 286, PS/286, PC and PS/PC. If system board has 320K memory, see "Intel memory cards in older Zenith Systems".
