HTML WRITER
===========
SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
------------------
1 - Copy the executable (HTMLWRIT.EXE) and the help file (HTMLWRIT.HLP) to a directory
of your choosing (i.e. C:\WINDOWS\HTMLWRIT). Be sure to overwrite any older versions.
2 - Make sure the files CMDIALOG.VBX, COMMDLG.DLL, and VBRUN300.DLL are in your
Windows or Windows System directory.
CMDIALOG.VBX and COMMDLG.DLL are included in this zip file while
VBRUN300.DLL is not! VBRUN300.DLL can be found on just about every
on-line service (i.e. CompuServe, Genie, BBSs, Internet, etc.).
If you have ftp access, you can get VBRUN300.DLL from lal.cs.byu.edu
in the /pub/www/tools directory as VBRUN300.ZIP.
3 - Run the program (HTMLWRIT.EXE).
That should do it! All program settings which carry over from one HTML Write session
to the next are stored in the file HTMLWRIT.INI which is created after you set or
change one of the program's parameters.
Look at the on-line help for more information.
NOTICES:
--------
The on-line help is still very preliminary. It provides at least some information
about most of the functions of HTML Writer. Please read the HISTORY.TXT file for
information about the changes made in this version. Several new features have been
added, so it is to your advantage to read about them in the HISTORY.TXT file.
I'll get the on-line help updated and filled-out as soon as I can. I'm doing all
the work on HTML Writer in my spare time, so please be patient.
In this distribution I have included a few other files which you may find useful.
SAMPLE.HTM A sample HTML document which uses many of the HTML tags.
HTMLQUIK.WRI The HTML Quick Reference document converted to Write format.
I FINALLY have a home page on the Web! The latest information on HTML Writer will
be on these pages. Here are the URLs:
http://wwf.et.byu.edu/~nosackk/htmlwrit.html the home page for HTML Writer

Enjoy!
