QCOMM.DLL Installation Instructions

1. Quit from Quicken For Windows if it is running.

2. Rename the file QCOMM.DLL in your QuickenW directory to QCOMMOLD.DLL
   (you can rename it to anything you want).

3. Copy the new QCOMM.DLL into the QuickenW directory.

4. Start Quicken For Windows. To verify that you are definitely using the
   new version, you can hold down the <Shift> key while selecting the
   Help->About menu. The resulting dialog box should say that QCOMM.DLL
   is R1.3.

R1.0  The original version.

R1.1  Changed dialing string from "AT E DT" to "AT DT" because Digicomm
      modems refused to dial with the E in it.

      Fixed a potential problem by adding some code to timeout if the modem
      connection fails during the period after dialing has begun but before
      the connection is established. In R1.0 this failure would not be
      detected and Quicken will wait "forever" for the modem to respond.

R1.3  Fixed the timeout code added in R1.1 that could cause a successful
      connection to timeout in the middle of a data transfer.
