These files constitute a subject index for Hytelnet, in particular the files in the database, bbs, and miscellaneous sections. The index consists of 28 subject indexes and a master subject list. The index is accessed from the opening screen by selecting . To install this index on a DOS system: 1. Copy or rename the Hytelnet START.TXT file to START.BAK. 2. Copy all of the index files into your Hytelnet directory. Included is a short batch program called INSTALL.BAT that does this for you. To use it, type INSTALL dir, where dir is the directory where your Hytelnet files are; for example, INSTALL C:\HYTELNET Remove Hytelnet from memory (if it is running) and restart it. Your opening screen will now give you access to the Subject Index . There is also a batch file called REMOVE.BAT that erases these files. It uses a similar parameter, e.g., REMOVE C:\HYTELNET If you are using the Hytelnet for Windows interface, edit your start file (opening screen) to include the line Subject Index wherever you want it.
