NCSA Mosaic for Microsoft Windows User's Guide
This is the area where the documents are displayed, including inline
images and graphics. If the document is longer than the available
area, a scroll bar will appear along the side of the document; if the
document is too wide, a scroll bar will appear along the bottom of
the document.

Since external images are displayed via separate applications, known
as external viewers, they are viewed in separate windows from the NCSA
Mosaic document view window.
