To: Flight Simulator 4 Pilots From: Bob Dennin (PHX) Subj: Flight Sim 4 LAX Files These files were created with Flight Simulator 4.0b and the new Flight Simulator Aircraft & Scenery Designer. They are my first attempt at creating scenery, in this case for Los Angeles International (LAX). The scenery includes the ticketing buildings (less the International Building 3), the boarding satellite buildings, the control tower, Hyatt Hotel, Delta (Western), Continental and American hangars and part of Century Blvd that goes into and out of the airport. I added two ILSs to LAX 109.9 on 25L and 108.5 on 24R. There are also dynamic scenes that include two 767s parked at the Delta hangar, one 767 that taxis out and departs on 25R and a 767 arrival on 25L. Its not 100% complete yet but I thought I would let some of you see this work and comment or even learn a trick or two so that all of our future scenery endeavors are fantastic. I've included a few .MOD files too that can be used at LAX. M-LAXAPP is a straight in approach in the Lear beginning over Ontario (ONT) at about 14,000 ft. This same mode using the 747 is M-LAX747. The demo file, LAXAPP.DEM is the tail end of this approach which you might want to watch before flying it yourself. A third one is the Lear parked across the airport on the south side (M-LAXSUP). Let me know what you think. Leave a message on the Flight Simulator Echonet or give me a call in Phoenix at (602) 492-4226. Thanks and happy Flying and Designing.
