SOME BACKGROUND ON THE GAME: ADVENTURE IN HUMONGOUS CAVE is based on the 550 point version of Colossal Cave -- or, as it is sometimes called, Adventure 550. The original game was developed by Will Crowther, Don Woods and David Platt and has entered the "public domain." Beginning with the 550 point version of Colossal Cave, HUMONGOUS CAVE has been further expanded and enhanced to encompass 300 locations and over 200 creatures, treasures and puzzles totaling 1000 points. It is believed to be largest text adventure game currently available on any microcomputer. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: HUMONGOUS CAVE requires 512 K of memory and 1.2 meg of disk space. For best results, a hard disk is recommended. However, the game can be played on a floppy as long as it has 1.2 meg of space -- i.e., either a 1.2 meg 5 1/4 high density floppy or a 1.4 meg 3 1/2 floppy will also work fine.
