Designed to Fit Your Needs Novice Maintenance Management was designed to meet the specific needs and desires of maintenance personnel without a lot of computer experience. Multiple quick-lists and look-up tables are available throughout the program to help users find the information they need quickly and efficiently. Quick icons are built into Novice as well, allowing the user easy access to multiple files. Novice utilizes the latest in technology to keep up-to-date with the ever-changing needs of maintenance personnel. Full-Featured Program Novice is a full-featured, all inclusive system. For one low price, the user receives all the abilities necessary to efficiently organize a maintenance department. Novice Maintenance Management allows you to organize and plan all maintenance-related activities such as preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown maintenance, track equipment records, work orders, etc. The program also has a database of inventory and vendor records and allows you to issue spare parts directly to a job. Equipment The Equipment section is the basis for the entire system. It allows you to keep complete records of all the equipment you intend to maintain. If you need a more lengthy description of your equipment, a text processor is included which allows you to write any additional notes necessary. Preventive Maintenance All pertinent information for the maintenance department is brought together in the Preventive Maintenance file and printed on the work order. Based on the user-defined time frame, PM work orders will be automatically activated and moved to the PM Active File, where the user may then print, edit and close work orders. Properly scheduled maintenance work orders will result in increased productivity and reduced costs due to less breakdown. Demand Maintenance The Demand Maintenance section is normally used for breakdown/emergency, or non-scheduled maintenance work. It can also be used to track service requests. This section operates similarly to the Preventive Maintenance function. History Just as you may keep closed work orders in a file cabinet or on index cards, Novice keeps all your closed work orders in the History files. The software allows instant access to view any closed work order. Vendor The Vendor module tracks all the vendors you do business with to purchase spare parts, equipment, services, etc. Inventory The Inventory file is fully integrated with the Maintenance and Vendor files so information may be passed back and forth quickly and efficiently. An unlimited number of inventory records may be stored including such information as unit cost and reorder point. Reports and Graphs The Reports section includes a number of reports helpful in printing Inventory levels, Maintenance History, Equipment information, as well as Vendor information.
