Warranty/Disclaimer I. Introduction Mouse pointers, mouse cursors, markers, whatever you call them, with Win95, these objects are here to stay. Now that mouse pointers can be colorful and animated, who better than Excel Progs, makers of animated dos prompts and animated Midi Machine icons, to create new cursors? This is a collection of 10 such mouse pointers created by Excel Progs, themed on the EP logo. Hey... blatant advertising never looked so good, especially since this cursors are limited-ware, *free* for private use! II. What You Need In order to use this collection of pointers, you need to be running Win95. You also need to be running 32-bit disk access, or animated pointers of any sort WILL NOT work. Check the performance tab of "System" under "Control Panel" to see if you are running 32-bit disk access. III. Using the Pointers In order to use the pointers, you need to copy and/or uncompress the files from the distribution disk/file into a new subdirectory on your hard drive. From the "Start" menu, choose "Settings" then "Control Panel." Double-click on "Mouse" from the window that follows. As soon as the "Mouse Properties" window appears, click on the tabbed dialog "Pointers." Now you can select a pointer to be replaced by one of the Excel Progs pointers (recommended ones to be replaced are: "Normal Select," "Working in Background," and "Busy," but you can choose whatever you wish.) Double-click on a pointer to be replaced by one of the EP pointers. From the "Open" dialog, navigate through your computer and find where you unpacked the cursors you received. Click on each animated cursor once to preview it's movements, and double-click on a cursor to select it for usage. When you return to the "Mouse Properties" window, choose other pointers to be replaced by the Excel Progs ones as desired and follow the same directions. When you are done, press "OK" from the "Mouse Properties" window to tell Win95 that you want the pointers you selected to be used from now on. IV.
