Manual Installation:
--------------------

  First: 	You do not need to remove previous installed files of an
		older ShutDown NOW!© installation. Maybe you want to delete
		the shortcuts of the old version files. - You can simply
		rename them instead (e.g. "ShutDown NOW!© v2.02.lnk" to 
		"ShutDown NOW!© v2.1.lnk") and copy all new ShutDown NOW!©
		files into the same physical folder on your harddrive
		partition, that you have chosen for the last installation.

General: 	Don't rename SHDN.EXE (upper- and lower cases are allowed)!


-	Copy:

 			- the icons: *.ico files (of your favorite animation), 
			- SHDNDOS.PIF,
			- CD.BMP,
			- the main program: SHDN.EXE,
			- this help file: SHDN.HLP and
			- its contents file: SHDN.CNT
	
	into a folder of your choice.

If you want, you can copy all the files, but only the above files are
necessary to run the program. (You can change the icons to up to 100
other icons (name: S1.ICO ... S100.ICO), if you want to create your own
system tray animation. I have added some other sets to ShutDown NOW!©'s
archive.

Please read the INSTALL.TXT of each set, giving some hints ... although
installation is easy by replacing all existing icons.)

-	Create a shortcut for SHDN.EXE on your desktop (and for the HELP
        file, if you want to consult it more often), rename the shortcut
        (NOT THE PROGRAM ITSELF!) to e.g. 'ShutDown NOW! v2.1' and place
        (copy) all shortcuts where you want (e.g. in a "STARTMENU |
	PROGRAMS | ShutDown NOW!" menu folder).

-	Run the 'ShutDown NOW!© v2.1' shortcut or run SHDN.EXE directly
        from its folder.

-	Don't wonder, if it takes some seconds before the ShutDown NOW!©
	window appears, because ShutDown NOW!© is installing some settings,
	if it is started for the first time.


Manual UnInstallation:
----------------------

This is very easy:


1.) Run UNINST.EXE, coming with ShutDown NOW!'s 'small' version (without
    automatic InstallShield ... installation ... support).

2.) Press "Remove" and follow the dialog(s).

3.) Delete all of ShutDown NOW!s files from its directory (listed in
    UNINST.EXE) and all shortcuts from Windows STARTMENU | PROGRAMS menu.

    ('Explore From Here' of the Microsoft's PowerToys can be a help
      for you to find the shortcuts!)
