It shows the current CPU usage as a little chart inside the Windows Taskbar also known as Tray or Taskbar Notification Area. ------------------- System Requirements ------------------- - Microsoft Windows95© or WindowsNT 4.0© --------------- Version History --------------- - Version 1.0 ----------- - First released version - Version 1.1 ----------- - Up to 10 icons can be used to display the CPU usage - Icons don't get split when another program starts up the same time as TrayMeter. (Usually when you put TrayMeter together with other programs in your StartUp folder) - Version 1.2 ----------- - Added support for WindowsNT 4.0 -------------------- How to use TrayMeter -------------------- See below for information about installing TrayMeter. When you start TrayMeter first time you will notice a small chart in the Tray. While running other programs you can see some peaks that indicate higher CPU usage. Click with the left mouse button on the chart to have TrayMeter showing its property sheet. Right mouse button opens a popup menu. Right here you can determine the time between updates of the chart. The default value is 0.5 seconds. The second trackbar allows you adjust the number of icons. To change the defaults press "Set Default". The new value is immediately used and will also be used when you start TrayMeter next time. If you don't press "Set Default" the new setting is for this session only. To exit TrayMeter press "Exit", to hide the window press "Hide". -------------------- Installing TrayMeter -------------------- Run setup.exe and follow the installation process. ---------------------- Uninstalling TrayMeter ---------------------- Choose "Uninstall TrayMeter" from the TrayMeter folder. -------------- Known Problems -------------- - Because the program uses regular icons to display the chart you can see small lines between them. - TrayMeter looks strange when you have your taskbar in vertical position. ------------ New Versions ------------ If you want to be informed about new releases of TrayMeter, please send an email to thm@informatik.uni-rostock.de with the subject line "INFO TRAYMETER".
