With BackWeb you receive free multimedia clips called InfoPaks on subjects of your interest. During the time you're connected to the Internet, the InfoPaks are downloaded to your computer in the background. Installation:Windows 95/NT 4.0 Installation Instructions A.After downloading BackWeb, close your browser and double-click on the file bwudp.exe, BWHTTP.EXE, or bw20b.exe in the directory you previously specified. This will install BackWeb for you. If you use a dial-up connection, leave it connected during installation. B.After install, BackWeb is launched and you can go through Quick SetUp to customize BackWeb to meet your needs. C.If you installed version 1.2 you will be given the option to connect using our Polite Agent or HTTP. If you are behind a firewall you'll want to choose HTTP. D.Quick Setup will enable you to: •Specify whether InfoPaks should be automatically or manually played. •Register to channels of your choice from a Channel Directory on the BackWeb Web site. •Specify the maximum amount of disk space per channel that you wish to allow for the storage of presentations. •If you are using a modem for your BackWeb Internet connection, you can specify a dial-up schedule from the Connection tab of the Setup property sheet.
