LinguaLab - svenska is a language study program for Swedish. The program 
offers some tools and methods for 
1. systematising, analysing, and storing language material
2. testing the user's vocabulary, text comprehension, and grammar skills.

The most important feature of the program is the ability to identify, and 
analyse any possible Swedish word, accidental compounds included. The 
lexicon base of the powerful Morphological Word Analyser MoWA 2.0 contains 
about 86 000 noun stems, 17 500 adjective stems, and 9 400 verb stems. The
analyser is mainly used for automatic generating of text exercises, based
on free-chosen texts (prepositions, inflected words, compounds, past tense
expressions, adverb-verb word order).

A very important utility is a Swedish-to-English dictionary that keeps record 
of the user's vocabulary. The dictionary supports 
1. automatic grammatical description of the items,
2. quick search of the items in both languages,
3. cross-references,
4. word labels, 
5. text searching for authentic language use examples.

A Vocabulary Test utility helps to memorise new words, and checks the once
learned vocabulary

Installing LinguaLab
--------------------
Unzip the svecalss.zip file that accompanies this readme.txt file into a 
temporary folder on your hard disk or to a floppy diskette.
Run the Setup.exe program from the temporary folder or the diskette.

Uninstalling LinguaLab
----------------------
The Setup-program also install an "uninstall" utility to allow
easy removal of LinguaLab from your computer. 
Open Add/Remove Programs folder in Settings/Control Panel and
select LinguaLab - svenska to uninstall the software.

This version of the program is released as shareware. The users are granted 
a limited license to use it for the purpose of determining whether LinguaLab
is suitable for their needs. They are also granted to copy and distribute 
the shareware version of LinguaLab only for the trial use. 

The limited license is subject to the following limitations:
1. LinguaLab and all of its release files must be copied in unmodified form.
2. No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested or accepted.

The use of the program is not time limited. This is a fully functional 
version, yet it can't be used for the educational purpose because the answer
evaluation utility is closed.
