Try using MediaVista to organize, find, and view your images. But that's not all, read on. Welcome to version 2.0 of MediaVista Image Management Software. This is the TWAIN compliant, single user version of MediaVista for Windows 3.11. MediaVista is upgradeable with more advanced features if needed. To get started, preview an image and try using some of MediaVista's helpful imaging features. MediaVista's real utility is in helping you manage, orgainize, find, and use multimedia files. This version of MediaVista manages images as pages in a file. Each New File has a cover sheet with the file name, description, ID and other information on it. Use this information to Search for and find a file or a group of related files. Conveniently List All Files at any time. Change the information on the file's cover sheet whenever desired. Delete a file and all of its pages when it is no longer needed. A page can be placed in a file by Scanning or Importing it from another computer program that can scan, fax, draw, or paint. Print out copies of a page, a selection of pages, or all pages from a file. Also, automatically Fax out a page or selection of pages from a file to the computer fax device. MediaVista can even act as a handy copy or fax machine by Scaning to the Printer or Scanning to the Fax . Each page of a file is an image. An image is an electronic snap-shot of an original piece of paper or a picture. Once a file has pages in it, go to a particular page by stepping to the Next PAGEDN or Previous page, or by going directly to a page by Number or by the TOC. A page's image can be copied to a computer file by Exporting it. A page may be Removed from a file when it is not longer needed. The page view may be altered by Zooming In on any portion of the page. Zoom Out to see the whole page again. Rotate the page right or left if a different orientation is desired. The image window may be re-sized at any time to better suit the dimensions of the original image or the current view. MediaVista's page viewing features take full advantage of high resolution monitors when available. Annotate the page by exporting it directly to the registered paint program. We hope that you find MediaVista convenient and useful as have a growing number or MediaVista Users. Image Management Image Management is a computer application that provides electronic storage and retrieval of important papers, forms, records, photographs, drawings, video clips etc.. Creating a New File Choose New from the File menu. The New File dialog box will appear on the screen. This form represents the new file's cover sheet. The information on this sheet will always be attached to the file. The file Name is a required field. Use the Name and Description fields in combination to uniquely describe the new file if possible. This will enable use of MediaVista's powerful search command to find a single file or a group of related files. Familiar filing techniques may be easily reproduced by customizing Cabinet, Drawer, Folder and Owner fields. Using these fields allow similar categories of files to be quickly and easily found. If your filing needs require IDs, assign IDs such that no two file IDs are exactly the same. Press Save to store the new file information when ready, or Cancel to abort the New File operation. Searching For a File Choose Search from the File menu. The File Search dialog box will appear on the screen. Use this form to find a file or a group of related files. The information entered on this form is matched against the cover sheet of all the files in the application. Enter as much information as is necessary to achieve the desired search scope. More search information will result in a focused search with fewer file matches. Less search information will result in a broader search with more file matches. To get a list of all the files in the application, simply press the Find button with no search information entered. Enter words, phrases, numbers, dates or any combination of characters in the Name and Description fields. These two fields are used in combination to find files that have matching terms in their cover sheet. Enter any combination of characters in the Cabinet, Drawer, Folder and Owner fields. It may be more convenient to choose an existing term from the list box of each field. The list box should hold all of the known terms for the files in the application. Use these fields to narrow the scope of the search to general categories of files in the application. Press Search to start the file search.
