This is the ReadMe.txt file that accompanies the EktaCommander program
archive.


What is EktaCommander ?
***********************

EktaCommander is a Windows 95 program that controls the KODAK EKTAPRO series
of slide projectors. EktaCommander can be used to author and execute slide
projector presentation scripts that can automate slide projector
presentations.
The hardware setup needed to connect the slide projector to the PC is
documented in the ReadMe.doc file. Essentially, the hardware setup involves
connecting an unused COM port of the PC to the PBUS-IN port of the slide
projector using a serial communications cable.


How to install EktaCommander
****************************

1. Copy the ZIP archive to a temporary directory
2. Unzip the ZIP archive using PKUNZIP
(Since you are reading this file, you've probably done steps 1 and 2 already)
3. One of the files that is generated during the PKUNZIP process is SETUP.EXE.
   Run SETUP.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions


Status of EktaCommander
***********************

This version of EktaCommander is actually the Demo version. See the ReadMe.doc
file for the information on the differences between the Demo and the regular
versions of EktaCommander, and for information on how to obtain the regular
version.

The Demo version of EktaCommander is Freeware


Distribution
************

The Demo version of EktaCommander is freely distributable, provided that :
- all the files in the archive are distributed together
- this condition accompanies all distributions
