1. About VidLoop Lite and VidLoop PLUS
======================================

VidLoop Lite is a free demo player for playing loop style animation files
that were created using VidLoop PLUS.  VidLoop Lite lacks the many file
playing options that are available in VidLoop PLUS and cannot be used to 
create VidLoop files.  Unlike VidLoop PLUS, VidLoop Lite is limited to an
ordered dither during file decompression that results in a textured 
appearance on playing files.

see the Help file and the ORDER.WRI file that were included with your 
download package.

2. System Requirements
======================

Your system should meet the following minimum requirements:     

     - 486DX CPU
     - 8 Mb RAM
     - 512K Video Card (1 Mb recommended)
     - Windows 3.1 or higher

3. Installation Notes
=====================

If you have not yet installed VidLoop Lite do so as follows: (Be sure
to close any open applications prior to installation.)

IF YOU DOWNLOADED VLLPACK.EXE:

Windows 3.1   

     1. Open File Manager
     2. Click on the directory that you downloaded vllpack.exe to.
     3. Double click on vllpack.exe. (The setup files will be expanded in 
        the directory. Click on Window|Refresh to see them.)
     4. Double click on setup.exe (The setup program will start).
     5. Follow the instructions in the VidLoop Lite Setup Program.


Windows 95
   
     1. Select the Start Button
     2. Select Programs and run Windows 95 Explorer (File Manager).
     3. In Explorer, Open the folder that you downloaded vllpack.exe to.
     4. Double click on vllpack.exe (The application/setup files will be
        expanded. If necessary, refresh the window to see them.)
     5. Double click on setup.exe (The Setup Program will start.)
     6. Follow the instructions in the VidLoop Lite Setup Program.


IF YOU DOWNLOADED VLPAK11.ZIP

Windows 3.1 and 95

     1. Open either Win 3.1 File Mgr or Win 95 Explorer.
     2. Use PKWare's PKUNZIP v2.04g to unzip vlpak11.zip and expand the 
        VidLoop Lite program files to the chosen directory.
     3. Double click on setup.exe (The Setup Program will start.)
     4. Follow the instructions in the VidLoop Lite Setup Program.


Note: During setup it is not uncommon to see the message "DDEML.DLL is
      in use."  Just click on OK and proceed with the installation.

4. Tips
=======

Large VidLoop files can consume considerable memory during decompression
and play.  Close any other open applications prior to playing files.  For
more insight into how to maximize your system's available memory see the
VidLoop Lite Help file and search on the word "memory".

The mini help notes that appear on your screen can be eliminated by 
selecting Options and clicking on Show Help Notes to de-check this item.

The VidLoop sample animation file NASCAR27.VL is included in your download
package.  Other free sample VidLoop animation files can be downloaded from
Flair Software's web site at:  http://www.flairsoft.com .

VidLoop Lite is the copyrighted property of Flair Software and you may not
disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, or alter any VidLoop Lite program
file.

Although considerable effort has been made to ensure the functionality and 
fitness for use of VidLoop Lite, Flair Software and the program author 
assume no liability for any damages that may result from the use of this 
product.
